Mohabbat

"Mohabbat bhi Zindagi ki tarah hoti hai
Har mod asaan nehi hota, har mod pe khushiya nehi milti.
Jab hum zindagi ka saath nehi chhodte toh
Mohabbat ka saath kyun chhode??

Naming a Baby

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

When a woman becomes pregnant there are lots of dreams and wishes automatically knock in her mind about her would be child, it’s happen not only with would be mother rather with would be father also, one of those thoughts is the probable name of their sweetest new member.

Even if you go back few months earlier of this incident that is when the couple is newly married and have some romantic talks with lots of dreams about their future the very common discussion that could be heard is…the name of their would be child/children.

Even it can be seen among the love couples also, am talking about those who are committed to their relations not about the cheaters…discussing with their beloved they try to decide their future child/children’s name…these type of discussions are very romantic and strengthens the bonding of relationships (though I never got chance for such discussions)
Naming a baby is a big ritual in India irrespective of places, casts and religion.

Different families have different thought processes about this matter, some prefers the name of the Gods and Goddesses for their children, some prefers the name of their child will be the combinations of the names of the parents, some prefers names related to nature and universe etc etc.
The very common incidents that take place after the birth of the babies are…parents and rest of the family members ask their closed ones to suggest a name and simultaneously they search the dictionary also.

Recently when two of my colony members became Dad(they both are blessed with girls) they asked me to suggest some names for their children and thank God just few days earlier I came across the posts of one of my favorite blogger Mrs. Sapna Vibhandik, after completing six months of reading her blog her posts started to make me surprise…so many issues related to pregnancy and baby care!!!! How can someone write so many posts only on two topics?...yes her blog is a well researched one.

If you are searching a name for your baby or anyone from your circle needs suggestion in this issue then visit the given links, the suggestions here will surely fulfill your queries about names because the names suggested there have covered all the dimensions of naming…the names related to God and Goddesses, the names related to nature and universe etc and yes these are really very unique.

Here are the links,do visit these...

The Performers---Durga Puja Related Experience

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

I was surprised to see their smiles, the happiness in their faces made me stunned, I noticed it for consecutive three days and the question I was asking to myself…how they can. How is it possible?

The grandness with which Durga Puja is celebrated in West Bengal is beyond description, it does not only have religious impact but also have deep social and cultural impact. For any Bengali it’s really very pathetic if they can’t spend the Puja days with their family and closed ones, somehow we all manage to do so. The most beautiful festive time we spend with our family, relatives and with friends and colony members, especially sitting in the Puja Pandal discussing on random topics has an indescribable charm. Those who are unable to manage time for not getting leave from their jobs regret for missing all these.
The truth is…Puja days without the family members, friends and closed ones are really very torturing.

One of the most interesting activities are…the fire crackers, though this can be seen among the kids mostly but elders are not behind them, they also enjoy cracking different patakas and involve themselves at least for one day with their children or with the elder ones.

Durga Puja without Dhak(a musical instrument) is beyond imagination, rather when the Puja days knock at the door that time in different banners and now a days in whatsapp and facebook messages we make aware each other with the pictures of the Dhakis(those who plays Dhak) with the idol of Maa Durga. The sound of Dhak plays a very vital role in Durga Puja, the sound works as a signal also, like…when someone in their house which is not so closed to Puja Mandap then listening the sound of Dhak they realize that Puja has started and they quickly complete their dress up and Puja arrangements and reach the mandap.

Dhak

Dhaki

But what about the Dhakis?...staying far away from their houses and family members for consecutive five days they perform their duties in different Mandaps, without their presence the Puja will lose it’s charm, they can’t spend time with family members, they don’t have fun time during puja days, they don’t have the opportunity to enjoy as we all do. Their contribution to Durga Puja will remain with its glory and pride.

Durga Puja starts with “Bodhon” that takes place in the day of Sashthi and the Dhakis has to be present there to play the Dhak, this is the time their journey with responsibility starts, except the Puja times they spend time sitting in the Pandals observing the activities of others…they don’t get enough time to visit other Pandlas to see the idols.

Sandhyarati with Dhak.....

I was noticing them from the day of Sasthi, their smiling faces  speaking out loudly that they are very happy to perform such activity and in the day of Navami I felt to talk to them about their life, the deadly part I have come to know is…their children are not interested to learn this art, now a days there are so many job opportunities, Govt. is helping the people offering different projects, so their children have involved themselves in those activities, there is nothing wrong in their decision but even as a part time job they are not interested to learn it, so logically may be after ten-twenty years it will be hard to find any Dhaki who will make us aware when the Puja will start, who will keep the charm of Puja playing Dhak during Puja time, may be that time we have to play the recordings.

My Mom is My Enemy....Humour

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Yes, I am going through a very tough situation in my life, especially four months ago situations were beyond my control but now to some extent its under my control.

Yes, life becomes tougher when your Mom becomes your enemy, when she stands like a wall in front of you and your dream, that’s what started to happen from last six months. Not a single child expects such behavior from their parents but when it takes place it’s really very frustrating.

No, no, there is no love story here, I am not that kind of boys who plays with the girls in the name of love, my parents knows full well that if I fall in love then will surely end up with marriage, rather it’s better to say my parents has not taught me cheating and ditching.

So what’s the problem?

Mom as Villain

When I am outstation I keep my room locked, so there is no chance that anyone can enter in my room in absence of me, even I keep the duplicate key with me coz I don’t compromise with my privacy.
But my Mom has found another way…when I am in my town and visit the nearby shop or mini market she enters into my room with the broom and cleans the cob webs in between five to ten minutes.

My Dream

One day I will open the door of my room and will see that the room is half filled with black cob webs, I have to make a tunnel removing the cobwebs to reach my bed and another tunnel have to create to reach the window, except these two tunnels the room will be covered with cobwebs from the ceiling and walls.

Six months ago, when some cobwebs covered the ceiling that time one day suddenly Mom noticed it and cleaned the room ignoring my request.

When in absence of me she cleaned my room three four times then I have started to lock the room even when I visit the nearby shop.
To fulfill my dream one of my students has helped me giving me a valuable suggestion…that day he visited my house to meet me and seeing the cobwebs asked me the reason for such uncleanliness and I informed him about my dream, then he suggested…

“To fill the room with cobwebs and to accelerate the process you have to stop cleaning the floor of the room, if the dust vanishes then how the cobweb will catch them?”

Now I am much ahead towards my dream, you can see it in the pictures….

Before you start to think I have become Psycho for some reason then I must inform you that for such dream a kid and my Dad are responsible…

During my childhood days my Dad used to tell me a story (he made it for me), the story is….

One day Jim Corbet lost in the jungle during night after the hunting, he was finding a way out and that time noticed a three storied building in the jungle, he noticed a ray of light in the second floor but when he entered in the ground floor the big room was filled with cobwebs, he had to remove those to make a way…..

Then the stories continued with its own flow, I have listened this story more than three hundred times because it was my favorite and during child hood days my cousin brothers and sisters used to listen it from me specially for the sound of horse steps that I used to make with my tongue, I have narrated this story to them for more than hundred times.

Six months ago a kid, age around six years when asked me to tell her a story, which is scary but does not contain any ghost then this story knocked into my mind after long years and I narrated to her, she liked it a lot.

From that time my this new dream started to knock into my mind, logically it’s almost impossible that I will be lost in the jungle and will find a old house and will go through some adventurous experiences then why not make my room scary?

My Experience, Identity and Award

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Experience:

What I have found the best quality in my colony members, especially in my co-actors is…they did not misunderstood my introvert nature as my self-conceit, as I have mentioned in my earlier post My Blood Cancer, Wife, Teacher and "The Journey"  that I am living in this colony from past five years but no interactions happened with any of the colony members except my next door neighbors, so in this social status when I expressed my interest to take part in the drama which has been organized as an event for Durga Puja, they accepted me gladly and their behaviors made me surprised….from the beginning they all are very friendly, helpful nature and interacting me as I am their old friend, this is really an unforgettable experience of my life, they are educated, matured and capable enough to understand the nature of a human being.

In last four years I have rarely visited the puja mandap but this year not only I have got interest to spend time there for their friendly behavior rather when I am absent they are calling me to be present there.

So this year’s Durga Puja is gonaa very much different than earlier four years, today is the day of Saptami and now it’s over, still three days remained and lots of cultural programs gonna take place.

Here are some glimpses of “Dola aante jawa”

Identity:

I have got a new identity in this colony…my co-actors has remembered me as Madhu (the name of the character I have played), as they have become familiar with my name very recent(during rehearsal) so most of them have forgot my name, on the other hand they were seeing me as Madhu during rehearsal so they have remembered me as Madhu, some interesting incidents related to this is…10the sept was the date for our first full rehearsal from 8PM, that day morning I had to call some of my co-actors for some queries, when they picked up my call and I said

…Its Jyotirmoy

The reply was

…sorry, who is this, I can’t recognize

Then I said

…its Madhu

And the reply was with glad voice

…Hey Madhu,whats up?

This is how the conversation started when I called three others.

Awards:

The drama about which I have shared in my earlier post has taken place during the day of Sasthi(Durga Puja) and the best award I have received is…not only the co-actors now other colony members are also calling me as Madhu and most importantly the children of my colony has started to call me “Madhu Dada” or “Madhu Uncle”…there can be no best awards than this when you play a role and capable enough to leave a deep impact in the viewers.
Here are some pictures when we gathered in the stage before the play after the make up…

from the left...Asomoy (A Mad),    Madhu(The protagonist),    Bijon (The Main Villain),   Sujon(The Hero),   Teja(Right Hand of Bijon, a goon),   Rakesh (Assistant of Bijon)

I am busy in Durga Puja so it will not be possible to read your posts everyday coz I have to take some responsibilities here regarding the cultural programs but it also truth that I am feeling very uneasy as its not being possible to read your posts because I am addicted to your writings my dear bloggers, each day of my life starts with your writing, photography and other posts.
